On March 25, the Fifth Member Congress of Zhejiang Building Materials Industry Association and the First Council of the Fifth Session were held in Jinhua. Jiang Xiaomeng, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the group company, was elected as the new president at this meeting.

Zhejiang Building Materials Industry Association has been established for 28 years. In the past five years, the Provincial Building Materials Industry Association has focused on the requirements of "stabilizing growth, adjusting structure, and increasing efficiency", insisting on doing a good job in industry services, curbing the decline in efficiency, advancing supply-side reforms, reducing production capacity, making up for shortcomings, and increasing efficiency. A lot of efforts have been made to promote the province's building materials industry to achieve rapid development. This year coincides with the change of the meeting. Relevant persons in charge of China Building Materials Federation, Zhejiang Provincial Economic and Information Commission, and Jinhua Municipal Economic and Information Commission attended the meeting and gave speeches to analyze the current situation of the domestic building materials industry and put forward suggestions for the future development of the industry. Ye Ziyu, deputy director of Jinhua Municipal Commission of economy and information technology, specially introduced the construction concept of "three corridors" in Jinhua, and welcomed building materials entrepreneurs in the province to invest in Jinhua.

At this meeting, the general election of the leading body of the association was held, and Jiang Xiaomeng, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the group company, was elected as the new president.

In his inaugural speech, Jiang Xiaomeng pointed out that Zhejiang is a major province in the national building materials industry, and cement, new wall, thermal insulation materials and other industries are in a leading position in China. At present, the state vigorously advocates "supply-side structural reform", resolves excess capacity, and does a good job in energy conservation, emission reduction, transformation and upgrading. With the strong support of governments at all levels, Zhejiang building materials enterprises should make active efforts to do a good job in this article. Industry associations should actively build a platform for communication and exchange between members and between enterprises and government departments, support each other, go out to sea in groups, form a joint force, and seek common development; they should continue to give full play to the advantages of expert resources, take the initiative to provide member units with information services such as economic information, technological innovation and management consulting, promote the management technology innovation of member enterprises, and improve the level of management technology. Promote the overall upgrading of building materials enterprises in Zhejiang Province.

The meeting also specially invited Gao Hai, director of the Shanghai Cooperation International Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, to give a special report on the cooperation and development of the building materials industry along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route of the SCO.
