At present, the cultivation of medicinal materials in most areas of our country is still in the stage of decentralized management, and standardization is difficult to promote, which affects the improvement of the quality of traditional Chinese medicine. Chinese herbal medicine industry towards standardization and "Internet" is the general trend.

Making full use of new technologies such as the Internet, the Internet of things, blockchain and artificial intelligence, establishing a quality traceability system and building a modern electronic trading market for traditional Chinese medicine will help to ensure that the quality of traditional Chinese medicine can be controlled throughout the process.

A few days ago, the Chinese herbal medicine association business exchange professional committee was established in Beijing. Liu Junjie, chairman of the special committee, said that he will vigorously promote the use of information technology such as the Internet and big data to promote the cultivation of Chinese medicinal materials, high-tech extraction and processing of Chinese medicinal materials, quality traceability management of Chinese medicinal materials, logistics specifications of Chinese medicinal materials, and overseas Chinese medicinal materials. Trade, etc., promote the revitalization and development of the Chinese medicinal material industry.

Chinese herbal medicine industry towards standardization and "Internet" is the trend. At present, the cultivation of medicinal materials in most areas of our country is still in the stage of decentralized management, and standardization is difficult to promote. The basic links of seeds and seedlings, planting technology and management of traditional Chinese medicine need to be standardized.

At the same time, the cultivation of medicinal materials lacks scientific market orientation. Liu Hongwei, a professional of traditional Chinese medicine, believes that in recent years, the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine in China has developed rapidly, especially in the three years from 2015 to 2018, the planting area of traditional Chinese medicine has increased significantly, and the production areas of traditional authentic medicinal materials have changed significantly, and new production areas continue to appear.

It is understood that at present, the planting area of traditional Chinese medicine in China is close to 0.1 billion mu, and the annual output is nearly 30 million tons. The supply exceeds the demand, and the quality varies greatly. Production enterprises, especially decoction pieces factories, have frequent quality problems in recent years, which are the loss of unqualified quality of medicinal materials.

The backward Chinese herbal medicine planting industry has become an obstacle to the improvement of the quality of traditional Chinese medicine. For example, the blind introduction of genuine production areas to non-genuine production areas, the abuse of chemical fertilizers and pesticides leads to a decline in drug power, the use of non-medicinal parts as medicinal parts in the circulation of Chinese medicinal materials, shoddy, complicated circulation links, opaque prices, and so on.

Professionals suggest that we should start from the source of traditional Chinese medicine, urge enterprises to fulfill their main responsibilities, standardize the primary processing of producing areas, establish a traceability system for the circulation of traditional Chinese medicine, and strengthen the quality control of traditional Chinese medicine.

At the end of 2018, the State Administration of traditional Chinese Medicine and other departments launched the work of "customized medicine gardens". Yunnan Province alone has set up no less than 100 "customized medicine gardens" in poverty-stricken areas, aiming to encourage the cultivation of authentic medicinal materials, ensure the quality of medicinal materials, and help poor households increase their income by establishing a traceability system for the whole process of traditional Chinese medicine industry.

Experts pointed out that "Internet authentic medicinal materials" has innovated the development model. Through the construction of an e-commerce base model that integrates medicinal material information, e-commerce, primary processing, warehousing, traceability, standards and other services, it can be from planting, processing, warehousing to trade., Logistics and other links, carry out a series of standardized work.

Over the years, China has begun to build a "traceability system for the circulation of traditional Chinese medicine", and has supported 18 provinces and cities in three batches to build a traceability system for the circulation of traditional Chinese medicine. A circulation traceability system has been initially established with the central and local traceability management platform as the core, supported by six major traceability subsystems, including the cultivation and breeding of Chinese medicinal materials, the management of Chinese medicinal materials, the professional market of Chinese medicinal materials, the production of Chinese medicinal pieces, the management of Chinese medicinal pieces, and the use of Chinese medicinal pieces.

At present, the special construction of modern circulation system of Chinese herbal medicine is progressing smoothly. By the end of 2018, the layout of 88 logistics bases planned and constructed in the national genuine medicinal material production areas will be completed, 11 experimental bases have been put into operation, 55 logistics bases are under construction through evaluation, and more than 20 will be completed and started construction in 2019.

Huang Luqi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of the Chinese Academy of traditional Chinese Medicine, said that through technological upgrading, we can modernize the production, processing and circulation facilities of traditional Chinese medicine, make full use of new technologies such as the Internet, the Internet of things, blockchain and artificial intelligence, establish a quality traceability system, and create a modern electronic trading market for traditional Chinese medicine, which will help to ensure that the quality of traditional Chinese medicine can be controlled throughout the process.
